If you don't like it, you don't like it but others do. None of the current music really sticks out to me sans the UI music. It's also a bit more catchy to me personally compared to the Japanese soundtrack. I remember as a kid I could definitely tell the difference between the Ginyu, Freeza, Trunks, Android, Cell, World Tournament and Buu Sagas by what soundtracks they used and as an adult it sticks out more. There's just certain things I hear in it that I think "damn, that's dope how they did that" but then I go back and hear the other stuff and I think "eh, ok." I also enjoy the variety. Stuff like that.Īs an adult however and as someone who makes music, whenever I hear the Faulconer soundtrack I personally can hear things in it in how it's composed that I don't hear in the Japanese soundtrack.
DRAGON BALL Z OST BRUCE FAULCONER MP3 ANDROID
Vegeta's music made him feel more badass compared to the other versions, Gohan's anger made him feel more epic, the Android theme made 19 and 20 seem crazier than they actually were while in the Kai version I felt they lacked personality. For example, watch Goku meeting Goten for the first time in the Faulconer version and then see the others. So how about Super? Is Super at least better than the OST of DBZ? The Japan one.Īs a kid I loved the soundtrack because it felt more hype and there's situations where the music helped make scenes better. It can be really epic at times!Įspecially the SS3 music, something that I've been replaying over and over in my head for all these years but never remembered where it came from! I remembered it now! It was a sick guitar riff that played while Goku was yelling and the great ape transformed back into a baby. Okay I've been listening to some of the tracks that ya'll have posted and I'm starting to see what many of you are talking about. Is it mostly just nostalgia? Or is the Faulconer music indeed superior to the JP OST? They tell me that the Japanese soundtrack is far inferior.īut why? I've watched the original run of DBZ in English years ago, and apart from the awesome next episode preview music and the opening, they never really got ingrained to my brain as it apparently should have done. When I've asked them why, they usually begin with "the new dub sucks" but after pressing them for more info since the dub in my opinion sounds better in Kai than in OG DBZ, it seems to always fall back to the lack of the Bruce Faulconer soundtrack. Some even go out of their way to replace the music in Kai with correct Faulconer music that fits the situation.Īnd then I've talked to people who just refuse to watch Kai in general.
